If You Don't Cut.

Some people surf in to this website and they have never heard of cutting. They've never known that someone actually finds pain pleasant, that there's someone who feels better on the inside when they hurt on the outside. If you're one of those people, you don't understand the real problems that cutting causes. I feel the need to write this, because I've seen several people who come on here and say their friend found out they were cutting and then started to cut themselves, or people who come asking "What should I do? My friend told me they cut," or something of the sort.

Please understand that once you start cutting, it's an addiction. I thought I was in control, but now I know that I'm not. I thought I could stop any time I wanted to, but that is not the case. It's like an addiction to drugs or alcohol: your body craves cutting, you need to cut, you can't control the urge. Take my word for it: cutting is not something to try or something to play with. It's not like taking a sip of beer then putting it down because you don't like it. If you try cutting once, you'll probably try it again. The more you do it, the harder it is to stop and the more you have to do it. Don't try cutting. I know that I probably wouldn't have thought to do it on my own.

I read an article in a magazine and I knew some people that cut, and at some point, I started doing it myself. It used to hurt too badly, now it doesn't. I tried enough ways that I found the way it doesn't hurt. Don't be like us. This site is full of people who wish they could take back that first time they picked up that blade. They wish they knew another way to stop their pain. If your friend cuts and you want to understand or if you come to this site and you think it's your only way to get past the pain you're feeling, talk to someone. Talk to anyone.

Anything is better than bringing pain to yourself. There are enough people in this world who are trying to bring you down, don't do it to yourself. I love you. I love you and your mind and your body. I don't want you to hurt yourself. I don't want any of you to be in pain. If you ever need anything, we are here to listen.
