The original version of this topic was created through a Suggestion by one of our moderators so that the members could read about who it is that is helping them and get to know the staff a bit better. The first one was very successful and over time as staff moved on with their lives and some of them have left our site the old topic became cluttered with replies of inactive staff, so now I’m creating part two.

Please, do not reply to this topic if you are not a staff member. Thank you.

Note to staff: You can use my template if you like or you can make your own.

Color: Don't know
Animal: Doggies
Vehicle: 1970 302 Ford Boss Mustang. I'd kill for one.
Flower: Roses
Beer: No Way
Liquor: No Way
Soda: Dr. Pepper
Food: All Food! But if you ask anyone who knows me they'll say I eat more Bagel Bites, Doritos, Pizza & Hot wings and other unhealthy foods than anyone should be allowed to. But I do eat healthy and eat apples instead of candy bars and junk food. But what's the point of always being so conscious of what you eat if you can't live life a little?
Book: I have read way too many in my time to pick a favorite. I'm an avid reader. Instead I'll tell you what I have been spending a great deal of my free time doing. I've been re-reading the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. For those of you unfamiliar with that name he wrote the famed Sherlock Holmes series of books.
Author: Sun Tzu
Music Genre: All music (new and old)
Movie: That's so hard! But I do prefer not to see stupid movies unless it's to simply have fun with friends.

My Friends: YES!
Love: Oh yeah!

Astrological Sign: Taurus
About the Taurus: The Taurean's characteristics are solidity, practicality, extreme determination and strength of will - no one will ever drive them, but they will willingly and loyally follow a leader they trust. They are stable, balanced, conservative good, law-abiding citizens and lovers of peace, possessing all the best qualities of the bourgeoisie. As they have a sense of material values and physical possessions, respect for property and a horror of falling into debt, they will do everything in their power to maintain the security of the status quo and be somewhat hostile to change.

Mentally, they are keen-witted and practical more often than intellectual, but apt to become fixed in their opinions through their preference for following accepted and reliable patterns of experience. Their character is generally dependable, steadfast, prudent, just, firm and unshaken in the face of difficulties. Their vices arise from their virtues, going to extremes on occasion, such as sometimes being too slavish to the conventions they admire.

Chinease Zodiac: Ox
About the Ox: A born leader, you inspire confidence from all around you. You are conservative, methodical, and good with your hands. Guard against being chauvinistic and always demanding your own way. The Ox would be successful as a skilled surgeon, general, or hairdresser. Some Past Oxen: Napoleon Bonaparte, Walt Disney, Clark Gable, Richard Nixon, Rosa Parks, Sylvia Porter, Vincent Van Gogh.

Craziest Thing I've ever done: *Plays Secret Agent Man theme song* If I told you that, I'd have to kill you. No, I don't actually mean that people. Just don't want to say the craziest thing I've ever done because it's so, amazingly bad. I may edit this and post it later on but unlikely. Haha.

Best part of being a staff member: The best part of being a staff member here at HelpingTeens is the fact that I am in a position where I can help teenagers who are seeking help. Whether I am helping them in a more passive fashion by keeping the support groups as clean and friendly as I can or a more direct means by replying to their summons for help; it is one of the most enjoyable things in this world. For me, my job as an Administrator is secondary to my real reason for being here...to help teenagers who want help, but cleaning can be just as enjoyable for me if it serves a good purpose. Which it does! Being here at HelpingTeens is really such a fulfilling thing for me and I love it so much. I have also learned a lot in my time here.

Most valuable lesson you have learned here: That’s a very easy one. The most valuable lesson I have ever learned at this site is to accept help from others. I don’t mean that in a corny way. But the Skye that existed before she found this website was a person who suffered from frequent flashbacks so terrible it left her paralyzed in fear. Cut frequently and had her fair share of suicide attempts. It was a difficult and life altering experience for me here at this site and I am forever grateful to those who volunteer their hearts, knowledge and time here at this site. Without the staff here, past and present, I certainly would be an unknown. I am sure others share the same feeling here.

In short, this site and my friends both online and offline have taught me that there are other people out there; other people who have had it just as bad as I have. Other people who need the help I once needed and that’s why I’ve been here. This site has showed me a deeper part of myself, a part of me that wants to reach out and touch someone else and help them start the life that was just a vague and unrealistic goal at one time.

What do I do here?: I am Co-Webmaster of HelpingTeens and an Administrator. Co-Webmaster, what's that mean? I run the website with one other person. Notice any changes to the HelpingTeens.org website? That was most likely me. As an Administrator I am basically a super moderator with access to everything that goes on behind the scenes. This means I moderate all forums instead of being assigned individual forums. Stuff that goes on behind the scenes is usually very technical in nature and to put it more simply...think of the "stuff that goes on behind the scenes" as the spinning labyrinth of cogs and gears that make the clock work and display the right time. That's what I do here.

And I occasionally throw my share of monkey wrenches.

Astrological Sign: Cancer
About the Cancer: The Cancers's characteristics are You are primarily emotional and your views are often dominated by your feelings and by your own personal, subjective experiences, rather than reason, logic, or abstract principles. It is difficult for you to judge situations in a fair, objective manner for your personal sympathies and loyalties usually enter in. You take things very personally, and sometimes build a wall around yourself to protect yourself from pain and rejection. You feel rather shy and vulnerable at heart. You also tend to be moody, experiencing frequent emotional ups and downs. You need to have a place and time in your life to withdraw, introspect, dream and replenish yourself; otherwise you become cranky and unhappy with those around you.

Best part of being a staff member: The best part of being a staff member here at HelpingTeens is that I help keep a site operational, that the public use to get help on many different subjects. Also, when time allows, I love helping people through their problems because it gives me a sense of immense satisfaction that I have helped someone through their troubles. I have a unique way of being able to look at many different issues in an objective manor and be able to point out the good and bad points, or possible solutions and options.

Most valuable lesson you have learned here: You cannot please everyone. All you can do is accept this fact and try your best to make the best of any situation.

What do I do here?: I own HelpingTeens, am Co-Webmaster of HelpingTeens, and an Administrator. Co-Webmaster, what's that mean? I run the website with one other person. I add/modify/remove articles, pages, sections and other stuff on the site to make it the best site possible for helping teenagers and people through their troubled times. I also make sure the site stays fully operational with as little downtime as possible. I also keep the domain name registered (and soon, I won't have to worry about renewing the domain for a while because I'll be renewing it for 10 years within the next 2 months).
