Ok so after much discussion teh CE forum is back, but alittle diffrent.

It now gets news stories feed to it directly from CNN. Every 30 minutes the RSSBot will add 10 new news articles.

It's not going to be the full article, but it will be enough to "hook" you in and then u can comment.

If there is a diffrent news source you guys would prefeer let us know and we can change it. If you want less news added then tell us as well.

hmm, the only drawback to that is being every 30 minutes, topics get lost before they are started, you know?
like the average HTian gets online once a day (lets say)...for an hour...
so in one day CNN news will through (24 hrs * 2 (times per hour)= 48 new threads a day...
so the majority of them will remain unread and unposted in and when you do post a reply, your resonse will be thrown to the 2nd page w/i 30 minutes, you know?

so i think its a good idea, but i sort of liked the we bring the news b/c we will find what is important versus being bombarded with CNN news that will overwhelm the forums (and members) and probably 90+% remain unread (or barely read), you know what i am getting at?

So what if we cut back the number of topics and how often there posted.

I mean you guys can still post your own, but at teh same time we have some outside news source as well.

Ok so I cut it to 3 stories every 60 minutes.
