So some of you may have kids already, some of you may know kids, and some of you may want them. But do you know what it's really like to be a parent? I want to invite you here to share whatever stories you may have about your kids or kids you know - funny moments, horrible scares, awful late nights, whatever you feel like sharing with us!

wow um i have alot of stories, but i will only share a few.
ive had to call poison control twice, once he got a roach motel the landlord had left i have no clue where he found it i thought i had thrown them all out, i didnt know if he had it in his mouth but i'd prefer to be safe you know. turns out the only thing in them is a non-toxic glue and something to make them smell like peanut butter, the other time i was at work and joe was home with him and he got into his diaper rash cream it was everywhere, on the bed the wall all over him, again we didnt know if he had ingested any so we called any ways, they told us to give him some water, and that it would probably if anything make him have diareah, so yeah....
um we used to have him on a really good sleep schedule he would go to sleep on his own it was very nice, but now he has his own idea about bedtime, ten to midnight, its just a fight to get him to go to sleep, very frustrating.

good stories, he loves wall-e and cars, we went over to my sister who has a son his age and also loves cars, damion found lightning mcqueen and a sally toy car and wouldnt let me take them away when it was time to eat, he likes to "feed" his toys, the cars were very messy my mom went to wipe down the cars and damion starts crying, i ask him what was wrong and he says with a very sad look on his face "mommyyy cwean, **sniffle** cweeeaaann" telling me he didnt want the toy cars cleaned, it was quite funny...

Here's a good one for all parents..

My son was playing with me and my husband while we were on our bed one afternoon.. (in Jan 09 right after his first birthday) He attempted to climb off our bed, something that he's been doing since he was 9 months old.. Some how he fell off the side of the bed and landed face down..

He ended up breaking his right arm right at the growth plate because when he fell he put his arms out. When we picked him up it was very obvious that his arm was broken. (it was bulgy right where the elbow is instead of smooth)

So we got his favorite blanket, his binky, and a few bottles (not sippy cups) and got in the car.

I held him in my lap on the drive to the hospital. No way in hell would I put him in his car seat with a broken arm.

When we got to the hospital there were stares of course, people probably thinking "wtf did you do" They got him into the e.r. rather quickly since it wasn't that busy.. They took x-rays then came out to tell us that he had to have an operation to fix the break.
Operation+ the name of your kid are just a few of the scariest words you can ever hear.

Since he ate that day we had to wait until around 9pm for them to take him back and do the operation.. They did give him pain meds though so he was babbling nonsense for awhile.

They moved us up into a regular room about 2 hours before surgery.. they had a nice little bed there.. but he didn't want to be left alone so I held him. (all I can say is thank god for his blanky)

Giving him to the doctors so they could operate and put pins in.. and of course put him to sleep was extremely hard. I don't think I've ever held onto his blanket so hard. Pretty sure I scared some teens in the waiting room into not having babies lol.

The operation took about 45 minutes total.. then they came out and took us back to see him. One of the doctors was even nice enough to bring him to me as I was walking in the door. Just to show me he was okay.

They then had me sit on a bed with him while they monitored him for another 30-45 minutes to make sure he was stable enough to go upstairs. After we moved him upstairs he was sleepy, so I laid him down next to me in the bed and we watched t.v.

He had to eat before we could take him home so they could make sure he wouldn't vomit.. the nurse brought him a popsicle.. (bad idea cause it was too cold) eventually she brought him jello which only made him mad because at that point he was starving. (hadn't eaten anything since before he broke his arm) So we begged her to just allow us to give him a formula bottle.. she eventually caved and said we could give him 4 ounces but no more than that.

He gulped it down, and wanted more of course but we had to wait to see if he would throw it up.. He didn't luckily.. and he got to have another 4 ounces and more jello.

They kept monitoring him for a few more hours, and eventually we got to go home around 2 a.m. when they finally realized that he wouldn't get the rest he needed in the hospital.

Coming home that night was easy.. he slept in bed with me because we had to keep his arm elevated.. so allen slept on the floor. We continued to sleep like that until he was put into an actual cast.

Luckily our neighbors came over and cleaned up our house for us so allen was able to get him the pain medicine, and I was able to just hold him in his rocking chair.

The doctor that did the surgery said that Logan was the youngest patient he's ever operated on.. which doesn't make a parent feel good.
But he said accidents happen.. which is what my mother told me as soon as I told her about Logan breaking his arm.
I think that's really the best thing a young parent can remember while raising a child.. accidents happen no matter how hard you try and stop them.

Now that I've written a novel I'll stop lol.
If your child ever breaks a bone and you need advice just message me. I now have lots of tips on how to take care of the little boogers while they heal lol.
