How are teens who get pregnant viewed in your neighborhood? Is it something that happens often? How do people act towards pregnant teens? In the town I grew up in, teen pregnancy was very very uncommon, probably one ever 3 or 4 grades. When it happened, EVERYBODY knew, and EVERYBODY talked about it, some made jokes, others were supportive. How is teen pregnancy viewed in your area?

Here it is very common, WAY too common. My county actually has a higher percentage rate of teen pregnancies then the national average.

Even with how common it is, adults still look down on it, and teens seem to encourage it. I remember not too long ago sitting in a restaurant called CiCi's (an all you can eat Pizza place) and being shocked when this 14 year old had her baby shower there. I heard a TON of negative comments from there people there. The comment that made me even madder was when I heard one of the girls say "I can't wait until I get pregnant and I get to have MY shower" to another.

Here it's kinda in the middle. In each grade(9-12) there are about 5 in each grade. The sad thing is - the students that aren't pregnant don't like it but the parents are the ones who are "proud" I guess is the word...

its rampant here, like the plague almost, its quite sad to see so many young girls going through things they shouldnt be going through for at least another ten years. i think alot of the people in my area are desensitized to it which is awful. people dont talk enough about safe sex here or anywhere for that matter. ive said here many times before, when i was a senior four years ago, there were EIGHT 8th graders pregnant i mean how messed up is that? its rediculous alot of those little girls cant even get part time jobs due to their age.

i had just turned twenty when i had my son, but i had opportunities for work, and my husband had a job, and we had our own place. and we had alot of trouble too. all because we werent ready in any sense, not monetarily, not in terms of maturity, our relationship was not stable, we hadn't planned, we were too young (even though my husband is 7 years my senior)

I don't see too many pregnant teens in this town.. then again.. I don't go out much when it's hot..
In cali they were every where.. and most of the time they were made fun of and such.
