I have to work 9am-5:30pm, so I will NOT be going out unless dragged out of my bed and hogtied. So far this year, there is nothing that seems too interesting for me to get up and fight the crowds. If you are going out, make sure to SMILE at the retail workers to help make up for the 1000 other people who just screamed at them because the $250 TV is out of stock and it's only 30mins after open (or it's Saturday night at 10:30pm just before close)

Oh I'm not going out!
Hubby gets paid this Friday and that money goes towards rent/bills. We'll be finishing our holiday shopping Dec 11th
I was just curious to see who is and isn't going and what they hope to get.
(And yeah same here, didn't see anything that I HAD to have) lol

I have never gone before and I dont intend to. Huge crowds pushing and showing each other doesnt really make me want to go... but unless I'm dragged, I won't be going!

I worked black friday 430AM-5ish PM and then saturday 8AM-5ish PM.
They were terrible. I work at Dicks Sporting Goods and it was just insane. People were fighting over gun safes and screaming at us because of either
A.) We were out of the free $20 cash cards that were advertised (they went to the first 250 customers)
or
B.) We were not price adjusting our black friday sales. So if someone bought a GPS last week, they couldn't get the price changed.
Oh my was I ready to punch some customers in the face. They never seem to understand that even though they woke up at 5 to go out, we had been there since 4 and had to get up around 2 or 3 to be there. We were just as tired and grumpy as them.
I don't think I'll ever go out on black friday in the morning. Not after experiencing the retail side of it. Ha.
Hope everyone got some good deals.

Man that does suck!
We were polite to the workers last year.. I worked retail for a little bit, and even then when it wasn't a holiday we got some pretty crappy customers.

Yeah I got cussed out on the phones a few times, and got yelled at for being out of stock on TVs and other goodies. There are always meanies out there. Most people were nice, others... well, I wanted to slap some sense into them.

I hate waiting in line for crap, so I rarely go shopping on days like "black friday" (well the equivalent here in Canada) and boxing day. Usually it's not worth waiting in line for hours and hours to get 200-300 off something.
