Weird Girl Keeps Calling Me

Hi I don't know where this goes but my problem is this girl who I hung out once as friends but decided never to speak to her again because she is messed up keeps calling me! Today after 5 months out of nowhere the phone rings and it's her number. Is there a way I can block her call ? She is way freaky.

If answering her call and telling her that you don't wish to speak with her does not work, you can make a phone call to you phone company and have them block the number.



Also, you can buy a little gizmo that hooks into the phone which is essentially a button and a message. Phone rings, CallerID gives the wrong number, you push button, caller gets a 'go away' message.

It was developed to be used against telemarketers.

Here's what I did in that same situation;



Me: Hello?

Girl: Is Jack there?

Me: ...Jack?

Girl: Yeah, is he there?

Me: I think you have the wrong number.

Girl: Oh. Sorry!

[Hang up]

[phone rings again]

Me (in a different voice): Hello?

Girl: Is Jack there?

Me: Jack Treese?

Girl: Yeah.

Me: I'm sorry. The Treese's had their number switched.

Girl: Oh, really?

Me: Yes, really!

Girl: Do you know their number?

Me: I'm not gonna tell it unless I got permission from Mrs. Treese to tell others the number. Sorry.

[she hangs up]



Then she asked me what my new number was, and I simply told her it was none of her business and she never talked to me again.



The girl, by the way, is my ex-girlfriend.

Um.. I don't know but with my phone company we can dial *60 and the operator asks us which phone number we would like to block, and it blocks it... does your phone company have that?

Never heard of *60, its not listed in my papers at all. May I ask who your phne company is? I've heard of redialing the last caller thru *69 though.

We have bellsouth. let me find out for sure all the codes...imma go get them now.....................

Number codes:



*60- To block someone from calling your number



*69- Get your last incoming call



*67- Block your number from someones house. Ex: I want to call Billy but don't want him to see my number, so I dial *67 and his number, and on his Caller ID "Unknown"

will appear.



*77- No one will be able to call you using *67.



*74- To pass your calls to your cell phone, or someone elses house.



*72- To pass your number back to its original place.



**Remember this is for bellsouth users. I dont know if other companies have the same.

I know Ameritech also uses *69 to redial. Some of them might be universal. I'll have to give it a shot.

I think it is generally the same on most phone companies. Seeing as Verizon used to be Bell Atlantic, and it used to be the same company as MaBell and all of the bells, I imagine it is similar.
