Pop Ups

Post by Jaegermeister »

Anyone know good, free, and honest pop up blockers? They piss me off. Somewhere on my computer there's the program causing them all, but I cannot find it for the life of me!

My boyfriend installed something called Zone alarm. I dont know how it works, but its free, and its one of the best virus protectors, and stops alot of popups. Its free too.

And people cant access your infomation, or hack your computer.

But i have no idea how you get its, its technical boy-ish stuff that I dont understand I'm afraid!!!!

Try typing "zone alarm" into google or something! I think thats probably the sort of thing you are looking for!

You have to know which version of 8.0 to get.. I've never had any problems with AOL other then the resource useage issue for 8.0, But AOL 9.0 solves that problem.. And the pop-up blocker on AOL works better then the google bar, the google bar crashes IE every time it "blocks a popup."

The following web browsers have good popup blockers, built-in: Mozilla, Opera, Netscape. :)

Wrong....Opera is a 100% custom engine.

Opera is all on its own Nick. No Mozzilla basis for it, it actually started out as a research project in Norway's telecom company, Telenor.

Mine actually is called "pop-up software free edition" when I hold the mouse over the icon on my taskbar. So I didn't pay for it. Haha, no way I would pay for something I could have for free! :P Hehe. I found it I think through pcworld because I'd constantly be getting internet explorer pop-ups at random, and they'd sometimes skyrocket to like 50 pop-ups in seconds. It was crazy and I hated it. It stops them, so I'm happy. I just wanted them outta there! Haha. :D
