First off, this question is for people who know about Invision pretty well. Don't put stupid "i don't know." posts as a reply.. thanks

Does anybody know what IPDynamic Lite is? I mean, I have it in my Admin CP, I've clicked it and it makes absolutely no sense at all to me, what is it!?

Thanks in advance!

kneesofmybees, IPDynamic Lite is a forum portal. In simplests terms it becomes your "home page," while the forum index you know and are used to stays at /forums/ or /boards/ or /groups/. What you do is place the script in your home directory from the folder in the distribution zip file from InvisionBoard.com and place it in your home directory. You need to follow the setup directions. It's very straight forward and your AdminCP in your forums controls this script as part of the forum system. Overall an excellent index page for a community oriented site.

While TeenHelp.org will not ever use this system since we're upgrading to a better system that was custom made, you can use this for your site. It's very painless, very quick and very neat and clean layout. It uses your forum skin files so you don't have to do any special skinning. There's one extra skin file or something like that. Relatively easy to do yourself. The rest of the IPDynamic script uses parts of InvisionBoard that have always been there. An example is SSI.php which allows other scripts on your site to export news, forum statistics, display a login box, any new personal messages a member has, etc...

No I am not on the Invision Power Services payroll. This is merely the opinion of an experienced administrator. I hope that what I've stated here will be of some use for you and if you have further questions about it...or need help setting up. By all means, contact me.
