i've never cared for the whole popularity system schools have. at my school you just need to be outgoing and funny, and boom! popular. the only realy reason people say hi to me in the halls is how i'm always the quiet one with alot to say about stuff. usually replys are "wow! you're smart!" or when i talk about how i have had a screwed up life, since most rich kids in the suburbs don't go through things i have.
