I love basketball and live to play it. I was in my junior year of high school and everyone thought i was going to have an awesome year. 5 games into the season i was diagnosed with stress fractures in each of my legs, a season ending injury. I still went to all the practices and games because i didn't want to miss out. It was so hard to watch and not play. My legs are better now and i'm waiting to play again this year. Hopefully everything works out!
Does anyone else have any stories like this?

Re: How Did You Deal?
yeah i tore every muscles in both of my shoulder and tore my acl in both knees...i had to have urgery on both knees and they had to go inside both of my shoulders to try and fix them. i can't cheerlead, swim, run cross country, or do gymnastics anymore..it really sucks because it was my sophomore year and i already had scouts looking at me and were really impressed..grr!
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you
I've found a reason to show
A side of me you didn't know
A reason for all that I do
And the reason is you

Re: How Did You Deal?
I got a story kinda like that
Jr Year after 2-3 months of hard endurance traning which included haveing to get up around 4:30 to 5:00 am before school. our first offical day of wrestling pratice I get a high ankle spran (which is consedered one of the worse things u can do besides breaking it) well after 2 weeks of the swelling in my ankle not going down my coach tells me to see the schools pysical traner. The traner tells me I need to skip pratice (which by now is only after school) to come to his office for tharapy. The dr writes my coach a note explaning this but for some reasion coach didnt beleve i was hurt. He told me if i missed any pratice i was off the team. well there wasnt much i could do so i had to skip pratice and get treatment.

Re: How Did You Deal?
Back in High School, I participated in the high jump on track day. Twice. Each time I jumped so high and far that I missed the mats and landed on my head/neck. Both times I was knocked unconscious.
I finally learned my lesson and quit joining the high jump competition.

Democracy. It rolls off the tongue nicely. Better than others. I can say it, spell it, define it, but can?t admit to ever believing it. So convoluted has it become that it has mesmerized generations into a comma of perfect sublimity. You dance to the music of your youth, identify with your own memory, become a time capsule of numb comfort. And there, mired in the exhaustion of a life in progress, you surrender your right to question for the luxury of not being bothered.

Re: How Did You Deal?
I messed up my ankle really bad during soccer a couple years ago, I couldn't walk on it for about three weeks let alone play, by the time I was ready to get back in the season was over, I joined volleyball and I love it
I look into your eyes
So full of pain and betrayl
And as I wipe the tear from your face
I see that they've never looked so beautiful...
