I Swear I'm Going To Die An Algebraic Death
Does anyone know of any good sites, or tips on how to get algebra, or programs that you can download??? is anyone else struggling with it? I'm a freshman, & i'm getting a C, but my madre expects me to get A's! It's driving me physco nuts!
The whole idea of fitting in is crazy to me.

If you're going to learn anything important in school, make sure to master algebra.

Pretty biased towards science aren't you but I agree also, English type subjects suck.

I'm actually very good at algebra, I could help you. But as to site info, i would say look in google, that's what my old algebra teacher does when he needs easy notes.
If you need a friend
Try not to find one who sets the trend
Look for someone who indeed
Has a different sort of creed
Someone who loves you like a brother
Someone who shows you to care for oneanother
Look for a friend who knows you
Someone to be there for you
Look for someone who loves
Someone who prays to the one above
You won't ever have to be alone again
Because you have your friend
And your friend has you
Which is truly a different view

Not like its high level stuff like Homeotopy of P-Brane Couplets.
Besides, algebra is essential for mathematical literacy. Reading, writing, arithmatic, algebra should be your basics.

You should most definately talk to your teacher. Get extra help. Whenever I don't get something, i always go in, and that way you can have the attention from your teacher without the other people... it really helps. And that way, if you don't do that good on the tests- your mom will know that you tried.

Indeed. And the next person who says "who cares about spelling, we have spellcheck" gets a plate of muffins up the ass.

Re: I Swear I'm Going To Die An Algebraic Death
A ti-89 would be nice because it does derivatives, (I take university-level calculus in high school ) but it's important to know the basics first.
I miss algerbra when it comes to math. But yeah, I'd suggest seeing if your school has a tutoring program or something. I know mine does and not a lot of people use it, for some reason. If you're having that much difficulty, go to the teacher and ask for extra help. A lot of teachers are willing to give extra help if you're having trouble.

Re: I Swear I'm Going To Die An Algebraic Death
Agreed on the TI-89.
Don't touch those damn TI-83s... when you get to high level Maths, especially Calculus 1, the TI-89 will whoop the floor with the Ti-83, 86, and 83 Plus/Silver models. Don't even bother with those cheapo plastic $20 Casio instrument bazookas. I bought four of them, and three of them broke in less than a year. What percentage survived everyday usage? Interesting...
Not to mention, the TI-89 has so much functionality and workability. Make sure you get to know your calculator real well (i.e. yell at it for the first month or two of usage), then it'll be a nice sized selection of pizza pie for you.
In terms of my own experience, I got my TI-89 three years ago, and every pixel still displays clearly. Every key still works, even though the calculator has been dropped, yelled at, smacked (hard)... When I took college level Calculus 1 in H.S. I learned about the nsolve feature on the TI-89 that wasn't available on the TI-83 models. That + the auto-solve feature saved me a ridiculous amount of time come the AP Calc. test.... Result: 5/5.
TI-89: $150
Buy it.
