Exchange Students
I might be able to enter for an exhcange in Japan where I REALLY would like to go..but I'm thinking.
is it hard?
would I be able to pick up the language?
is it worth it?
or would I be better off going to france where I already know french.

Re: Exchange Students
i think it's a great idea but you should try to speak the language first. Good Luck!

well i think either would be a great opportunity. if ur heart is in japan go for it! thats the whole thing adapting to a new culture. theres a exchnage student at my school for japan and she came and new no enlgish. i mean none. and now she knows so much u cant talk to her and its great. shes come so far and im sure u will too. yea the language is hard but if u have the will abd determination u can do it!

Re: Exchange Students
GO FOR IT.
My best friend's in Peru as a foreign exchange student, and I got accepted to a chain of international prep schools called United World Colleges.
It's a scary thing to think of at first when you picture all of the sacrifices you'll have to make, and all of the unknown adventures you'll be putting yourself through.. but it's SO worth it.
Email me if you want more information, because I've got tons. I've even got a few friends in Japan that I could put you in touch with.

Re: Exchange Students
LOL! My family has hosted foreign exchange students for years. Would you be able to pick up your luggage? Honestly, that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Of course you will be able to!!!
It IS worth it. I know from many years of exchange students coming and say that they've had the best experience of their lives. I went to a high school program last summer in England...it was kinda like that, but only for the summer, and I had a blast.
Cheers,
Jenna

Re: Exchange Students
definately go to the place of your dream
Follow what you want and dont let questions stop you.
What else do you have to lose? In a few years and you'll never have the same chance in your life.
Being a student is an excuse for inexperience. Of course you are not sure about things, you are not confident about yourself. You are still young. Dont let these kind of doubts stop you. Once you start it, be it harder than what you thought or easier, you will never (or it'll be difficult) for you to do something of the same kind.
If you want to go to japan, go there. Do it now, and dont regret.
