teaspoons is an american measurement..

anything under the metric systems usually ends is "-ters".. not always.. but more often then not (actually, right now I can't think of any time that it doesn't)

yes, yes it is easier. It's not only easier but more accurate. Anything that runs off a system of 10s rather than fractions or teaspoons works better.

Metric is more understandable, its just that us Americans don't wanna change! ;)

Actually, i think english system is easier because i grew up w/ it...like Degree Farenhyght is so much easier then Degree Celsius! :) haha...

basically teaspoon tablespoon onces and cups pints quarts and gallon is for liquid

onces pounds and tons wieght

inches feet yards and miles distance

are all american measurements that is all the the american mearsurements i can remember and yes they are hard to remember how many teaspoons are in a tablespoon and so forth and i grew up in america i agree that metrics are easier when i am not converting that is.
