Synonym

Post by Trapped »

What's another way of putting, specifically one word, 'lack of direction?'

Here is the sentence...Raskolnikov?s slurred reasoning of his crime also presents itself as an extension of his (lack of direction) rationalizing; and I need an adjective for what's in parenthesis.

Thanks.

Here's an easier way of asking:

What's one word for sense of direction (if this helps you: pertaining the thought)?

...

Now, what's an antynym for that?

Ok, thanx everyone. Here is is what I actually put because I was running out of time:

Raskolnikov?s slurred reasoning of his crime also presents itself as an extension of his undirected rationalizing.

But I was thinking, and now I ask, shoudl I change it to misdirected?

Misdirected suggests that he took a wrong direction. It is also not a very good synonym since it does contain the word "direction". You would want something that suggests he doesn't have an aim
