Um Clinton.
This is the best place i could find to post this. But out the Repubs. who read this and the Demos. that do as well, honestly...(I should make this a poll) Does anyone think Clinton is to blame for most of whats happened in the past 4 years. That his doings as president were the cause of all thats gone down. I dont know about politics, I dont calim to, and personally I could care less, but it seems alot of my repub friends think CLinton is this demon of a man whos ruined evevrything, some saying causer he was so and christian like(actual words from a repub) I know not all Repubs or Demos are alike o I was just wondering. I personally think him getting a hummer had nothing to do with the presidency, nor any of us for that matter, but just wondering please state your opinion.

Re: Um Clinton.
I think he was a pretty good president. The only thing that marred his presidency was the whole sex-scandal, which should not have been public knowlede or at least should have in no way cause that much of a ruckus. It was his private life, it should be private, and is in no way a definition of how good a president he was.

Re: Um Clinton.
Hey,
Clinton was a brilliant president. He totally fixed our economy, which was in ruins after Bush Sr. left office, and when he left, our country was no longer in debt. Then, he has the sex scandal, which was unfortunate because it brought such a bad light to the democratic party.
What republicans do not realise is that they focus on the small things in a presidentail candidate. A president's job is to help the US stay strong and keep it's economy going. Clinton did all of that and more, and he did an exceptional job. Yet, the republicans always go, "Well, he had oral sex in the white house..."
Who the hell cares??? Every husband cheats on their wife! (Or well, many of them do!)
Bush has fucked our economy SOOO many times over, yet people STILL want him to be president! Why? Because he's done "good" things for our country. He cuts the taxes for his rich friends, and the republicans don't care! Our country is 1.7 trillion dollars in debt! Yet, they complain that if Kerry were to take office, their taxes would be raised! How else are we fucking supposed to pay off our debts for the man they elected into office???!!!
Wait, but Bush is a patriot! He wants to keep the pledge of alliegance in schools! That is compeltely against our Constitution, and it breaks the separation of church and state! But the republicans don't care! He's a patriot, he supports our troops! He "fought" in the Vietnam War! There are records proving that he never attending ONE SINGLE MEETING! And yet, Kerry's "BAD" because he left war early! He killed a man! He has actually SET FOOT in Vietman. That's more than Bush can say.
All I can say is, I hate how people are so blind to what is happening around them. Bush has screwed over our economy, he wants to use HIS religious beliefs (which is ONCE AGAIN a separation of church and state!) so that I can't get married!!!
How wrong is that? I hope to god that John Kerry wins this election, or our country will totally be screwed over by all the trillions in debt that we're in. And yet, republicans don't care! Bush is a good man, a good patriot, and a "war veteren!"
People need to open their eyes and see what REALLY matters. We need a man who can lead this country, not one who can sit around and look pretty.
But I don't care. When I turn 18, I'm moving out of this pathetic country. Hopefully I'll be able to get married and have a better future anywhere else other than America.
Cheers,
Jenna

fixed the economy, all he did was cut vital departments of our goverment. he killed our military and we can hardly take on 2 wars at one time. Our country was still in debt when clinton left, what are you thinking. whoop de do, he didnt spend all of our tax money, but at what cost.
having oral sex in the white house wasnt the thing. HE LIED TO THE WHOLE COUNTRY ABOUT IT... REPEATEDLY. he totally disgraced our country.

0118 GMT - U.S. Treasury prices fell, extending sharp losses in U.S. trade on Friday as another solid month of job gains reinforced expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate increase at the end of the month.
WASHINGTON, June 9 (Reuters) - Recent hiring in the United States is swelling the ranks in industries that pay more than the average income, U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow said on Wednesday.
In a clear sign that the U.S. economy is continuing to improve, the Labor Department said Friday that American employers added nearly a quarter million jobs to their payrolls in May and that hiring in March and April was more robust than previously reported.
May brings quarter-million U.S. job jolt
The US economy charged ahead in May, creating 248,000 jobs and leaving little doubt that the nation is on the path of a sustained recovery. With job gains in April and March even stronger than estimated earlier, the economy has created nearly 1 million jobs over the past three months and 1.4 million since employment growth resumed in September.
The U.S. economy grew at a 4.4 percent annual pace in the first quarter, faster than initially estimated, and inventory building contributed three quarters of a percentage point to that number, the Commerce Department said last month. Economists surveyed May 27 through June 7 by Bloomberg News forecast a 4.6 percent increase in gross domestic product this year, which would be the fastest annual growth since 1984.
^^our economy is in terrible conditon, yea right. bush along with greenspan did what was exactly needed to bring this country out of the dumps. what else could bush do with this crap economy clinton gave him and 9/11?
the other half of this post isnt even worth it.

Yeah? Bush lied to our entire country about the "weapons of mass destruction."
THERE WERE NO WEAPONS. Yet, he stood there and TOLD OUT ENTIRE COUNTRY that there WERE. How fair is that? You say that it's wrong that Clinton lies to our country about something minor when our president stages a "war" based entirely on the ficticious idea of nuclear weapons.
...excuse me. he used them on his own people. do you ignore the news?
anyways...
UN inspectors: Saddam shipped out WMD before war

Linked below is the pdf file from the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission. They are referred to throughout the article as UNMOVIC.

a few notable cliftnotes for ya.
"The Commission?s experts are conducting an investigation in parallel with the IAEA Iraq Nuclear Verification Office regarding the discovery of items from Iraq that are relevant to the mandates of UNMOVIC and IAEA at a scrapyard in the Netherlands. In particular, following a visit of IAEA to a scrapyard in Rotterdam to investigate increased radiation readings, it was discovered, through photographs taken at the time, that engines of SA-2 surface-to-air missiles were among the scrap (see figure below). They are the type of engines used in the Al Samoud 2 proscribed missile programme. In addition, a number of items and equipment that may also be relevant to the UNMOVIC mandate were seen among the scrap. The existence of missile engines originating in Iraq among scrap in Europe may affect the accounting of proscribed engines known to have been in Iraq?s possession in March 2003. Both IAEA and UNMOVIC have kept the Security Council informed of this matter."
"In addition, the Commission is aware from comparative analysis of recent satellite imagery that a number of sites previously known to have contained equipment and materials subject to monitoring have been either cleaned out or destroyed. An example of such imagery is provided in the appendix to the present"
why is it not in the news you ask, because the media hates bush. but thats a whole differernt story for a new day,

<!--QuoteBegin-Paris In Flames@Jun 13 2004, 03:46 PM
And no, our country was out of debt when Clinton left. Clinton Screwed one intern. Bush Screws millions of Americans.
"Having done its utmost to choke back the revenue flow into the Treasury, the Bush administration offered a running tab on this year's exploding budget deficit yesterday. To hear the casual patter of White House aides about the deficit, one would think it was pocket change. In fact, the shortfall has ballooned 50 percent in just five months, to $455 billion and counting. This historic high shows no sign of cresting, certainly not while the president's de-taxation mania rolls forward. The White House firmly insists that the growing wad of government costs and debt being rolled across the years toward tomorrow's taxpayers is eminently "manageable." Actually, what was manageable was the $127 billion surplus the fledgling administration enjoyed just two years ago.
That surplus has disappeared into the Potomac mists, along with the Republicans' creaky posture as deficit hawks. A decade of deficit spending now awaits the nation, rooted in an anemic economy, pervasive joblessness, the rising costs of the American occupation of Iraq and Mr. Bush's tax cuts for the upper brackets. Independent estimates suggest that the deficit will grow to the half-trillion-dollar level next year and barrel on through the next decade at a cost in excess of $4 trillion once Congress's hypocritical commitment to "sunset" various tax cuts is quietly reversed.
The White House never fails to seize on optimistic predictions that the economy will tick back up zestfully next year in Mr. Bush's "jobs and growth" program, an agenda that has so far delivered far more tax cuts than recovery. A sobering estimate of the de-tax-and-spend policies of the president and the Republican-controlled Congress is offered by the Concord Coalition, the budget watchdog group, which warns of devastating long-range effects from "a schizophrenic pursuit of small-government tax policies and big-government spending initiatives." Politicians have broken vows not to tap Social Security funds, leaving costly entitlement promises to baby boomers looming at the shore of red ink that now pools forth into the nation. The White House hardly scans that shore, offering no details in its newly minted promise to cut the deficit in half "over the next few years."'
-- Maggie Sklar
And as you can see from the article above, we WERE out of our deficit.[/quote]

You shouldnt have to. You didnt HAVE to go to war with two countries at once. I know sometimes you have to fight for peace, but sometimes you can just let things go like this.
