Future Career...

What do you want to do when you are older??? I mean realistically...as many people wish to be actresses, singers etc..but if those are not counted what would you choose?

I am majoring in journalism and minoring in political science. I've wanted to be a journalist for a long time and I've found a great interest in politics in the last year.

I want to be a dentist However I know it's extremely difficult to get into and I am prepared to be knocked back (I hope! ) and my second choice is chemistry or medicinal chemistry to become a teacher or go into industry!

Too many possibilities...i like too many things: Doctor sounds nice, doing something in medicine. I was thinking of a teacher when I was younger.

I think a good idea for me would to do therapy, like individual therapies, occupational, etc. for ppl with challenges...mental / physical

Because i volunteered in something like that, and liked it a lot.



I think that sort of job will allow me to integrate all my skills and my interests...creativity, helping ppl, I have to know psychology probably, um...medicine/biology...

I kinda wanna be a webdesigner (ugh, runs in the family...) But like, it would be nice i fi could be a model, ive modeled before and stuff and if i wanted to , i could make it big.. thats being realistic, too lol.. but webdesigner sounds sweet.

Doctor, but haven't decide what kind of yet. I would like to be a pediatrician but there are to many of them so maybe children psychiatrists or caridiologist or maybe I will go for epidemiology and public health (but there is to much statisctics involved so maybe better not). Still have time to decide.

The study of the brain and nervous system to y'all. I want to be a neuroscientist, in a lab somewhere, with one of them white coats, and a frezer full of brains! Yeah!



Lol. Seriously though, I just want to do research on the brain, and behavior. Neuroscience is such a broad feild you can do alot with it, so I'd probably lean towards psychology alot too.

Kids are evil, but as I have already said in this thread I want to work with them as well. However sometimes I am not so sure, I have worked in a children hospice and in a pediatric ward as a volunteer and I could see that this job is fucking hard, aspecialy when children are going to die and doc can do nothing. I feel it is somewhat easier to cope with death of adults then children.

yea thats the only thing that would make me change my mind about being a pedatric doctor/nurse i dont think i would be able to handle seeing little kids die and not being able to do anything about it...i yea i just know i want something to do with kids because i love being around them...

Well, I'm stuck. I want to either be a biochemist and work with stem cell reasearch, or go into law and try to work my way up the political ladder - maybe becoming a senator or higher.
