Once in a lifetime, you find the one you really love.

For now and forever, one love that never ends.

Once in a lifetime, when every star that lights the sky.

Will shine with one reason, leading your heart to the one love you find.

Just once in your life..

Once in a lifetime, you find the one you really love.

For now and forever, one love that never ends.

Just once in a lifetime...

4.50... WOW thats cheap! If I were you, i would NOT go any lower than that-

Maybe its because you're only 13, and some people don't feel safe leaving their children with 13 year olds, even if you're really mature... just wait and see what comes around, I don't think there is a SPECIFIC reason why you're not being hired- maybe just bad timing.

The whole arrangement's designed for men who, at some time or other in their lives, were looking for something their own environment couldn't supply them with. Or they thought their own environment couldn't supply them with. So they gave up looking. They gave it up before they ever really even got started"

I used to want to babysit and never got anywhere.... most people feel better hiring either someone who they know or someone who a friend/associate says is good, reliable etc. Also, most people feel very hesitant about hiring anyone under 15/16... maybe they dont need to worry, but if you had kids wouldnt you worry?

Like everyone else has said, hang on in there and keep trying. Good luck! :)

Hannah,

$4.50 is in no way too much. You have to get to know the people. A flyer usually won't do it...you should drop them off at the doors of the people you know have kids and talk to them when you do it. Be friendly and that way they won't think they're just calling some random stranger with a flyer. You should charge at LEAST $5.00. These days the average rate is about $7.00 I think, but charge whatever the parents are comfortable with. You don't want to scare them away with a price that's too high. Tell them that your rate is negotiable. Let them set the price when you go on your first babysitting job. When they ask how much you charge just say "Whatever you think is reasonable." Who knows, they might say they will pay you more than you were concidering!

Just don't give up,

Holly
Whatever our failings may be, we need not lower our eyes in the presence of Jesus...Jesus comes not for the super-spiritual but for the wobbly and the weak-kneed who know they don't have it all together, and who are not too proud to accept the handout of amazing grace. As we glance up, we are astonished to find the eyes of Jesus open with wonder, deep with understanding, and gentle with compassion.

Hannah,

Often, if you say that they can pay you whatever they feel is appropriate, you'll get more. It's polite, and they'll be generous. If they're not, next time they try to get you, just don't go back.
