Future Career/job
I'll be going into grade 11 next year right?
Anyways, I finally got my first job recently and I'm again wondering what I should concider becoming...
Haven't really thought about university...I don't wanna seem like I think low of myself, I think I could handle school. But none of those high paying jobs seem to really interest me (doctor, dentist etc.)
What is out there?

Once in a lifetime, you find the one you really love.
For now and forever, one love that never ends.
Once in a lifetime, when every star that lights the sky.
Will shine with one reason, leading your heart to the one love you find.
Just once in your life..

Re: Future Career/job
I do have time..but I promised myself, Tori, and my family that I wouldn't become one of those mid 20 year olds who dont have a career and such.
What about handy-man stuff?
Carpenter
plumber?
Those jobs are actually pretty high in demand here.
It's just I'm not sure what kind of jobs there are besides doctor stuff.

Re: Future Career/job
In Britain plumbers can make a fortune. There's so few of them they charge loads of money and make huge amounts of money.
I had an idea that dentistry would be a career I would want to get into. But to confirm it I did work experience. You might want to try that?
List your interests and see where they lead you. I like science, I'm dextrous, and I like to work with people. They all fit dentistry.
And also - research loads of courses. Go onto uni/college websites and see what they've got to offer. You can talk to a teacher in school about it no? Ours are called Careers and Higher Education Advisers, don't know about you!

I traded my dreams for this mess of memories
And they just stopped working for me...

Whats wrong with being 20 and having no career??? I have no clue what I want to be. I live with my parents and go to work full time. Nothing interests me either but lately I've been wondering about nursing. It'll come, don't worry.

You can see me through these metal bars-I won't let you in
It's my life and I screwed it-You're not to blame
And though I keep on trying, it's so hard to change.

Re: Future Career/job
You could even become one!
They'll be able to give you lots of tests and things to find out which areas you are best in and things like that.
I've seen a few, they've been helpful. It was the careers advisory place in Newcastle which was where I went to get started on ALL the jobs which I've had and ALL the career paths I've taken so far!
