Psychology And Personality.

Post by My Couch Is A Boat »

If I put this in the homework section... It's not going to get read or anything.. but put it there if you must.....

I am really lost on this question..

Explain how personality differs from character and temperament. Discuss the stability of personality.. I don't have to have it answered but if someone could head me in that direction....
Dough (the stuff that buys me beer)

Ray (the guy who sells me beer)

Me (the guy who drinks the beer)

Far (the distance to my beer)

So (i think i'll have a beer)

La (lalalalala beer)

Tea (No thanks i'm drinkin beer)

and that brings us back to (looks in the empty glass)Doh!!!

Your character is the sum of your habits. It is how you typically act. Personality has a deeper meaning. It is the distinctive qualities in how you relate to other people. Your disposition is relative to your personality. you can differentiate between character and personality as it relates to winning and losing as well....your character is how other people perceive your attitude towards a win or a loss. You personality is what dictates that response. The stability of personality is referenced as a timeline from birth. Events throughout one's life is reflective in one's personality and collectivly helps to build one's character.

I would have done the same thing as she.
It's the little things that make a big difference.

In case you hadn't noticed...4-letter words:

love - hate - true - life

"And there are voices

That want to be heard

So much to mention

But you can't find the words"

--Listen to Your Heart, DHT

I can't erase myself, but I can try to move on.

I won't do your assignment for you, but I will help you.

Personality is ?a persons fairly consistent patterns of acting, thinking, and feeling.?

There are really two ways to do this assignment. A sociologists perspective or a psychologists perspective. A psychologist will get deeper into what in the brain can influence the personality, or seek to understand the behavior itself. A socioligist will try to understand what in the persons environment influences personality, i.e. the family, friends, school, media, etc...

For psychology: You?ll probably want to bring in Sigmund Freud and his three components of personality: the id, the ego and the super-ego.

For Socioligy: You might want to do instead of Freud could be Erik H. Erikson?s eight stages of development?and elaborate on his belief that socialization and personality growth are lifelong processes that never end. Since this is a psychology assignment, you'll probably want to stick with Sigmund Freud.
