Scarlet Letter

Post by SirPostAlot » Fri Nov 26, 2004 12:07 am

we have to write an essay about the scarlet letter and we have to write about the most importnat issue discussed that isn't the main topic - adultry...

But i don't know what the most important thing would be though...

I mean there are small things like: Never run away from your sins...or...The innocent may be the guilty...

I dunno...if you have read it which topic would you write about?

Isnt the whole thing based on that though..? Just pick something that *you* feel is one of the most important things and make it good :P

I looked at myself

So many things I hate in me

So many things are so hard to believe

I can hear the whole world calling me

Used to be all that i wanted

You to see all that i you to be

does anyone care

i really odnt know, as i havent readthe book. however if you choose the one that YOU feel is the right one, you will probably get better marks, as you will have more feeling behind the argument.

Love. The Scarlet Letter is about Adultry but its also about love. Hester thought he husband dead. She fell in love with Arthur who fell in love with her too. They bore a child. They were tormented to be apart. Love is a strong topic to use. If you need help, just ask.

She doesn't love her husband. Arthur is the pastor, father of Pearl. I'm not quite sure if her husband loves her. I think he thinks of her as his property.

yeah...but in the relation that he would rather get revenge on Arthur rather than Hester shows that he sorta - somewhat loves her..

Is the Scarlet Letter a book of some sort. If it is regather your thoughts of the book and survey your friends on what they thought were the major thoughts of the book, and see what seemed to be the less major thought. I guess?
