Hey guys here is the deal....
My manager's last day is the 31st and so far there isn't a manager for the store. This store has problems is our new area director cuz we really don't like her. But we have a feeling if you aren't get a manager she will come over and run the store. Which a really bad bad idea(the store will go down hill). Anyways I was thinking that I should atleast apply for it. I'm 20 years old and have been with the company for 2 years in september. I already know have of the stuff that I have to do cuz I'm like my manager right hand person. I'm in charge at night when she isn't there. So I have so experience.
Does anyone think I have a shot at this? Is it worth trying to get it?
I figured it would look nice on a resume when I look for a job.
Please Please let me know asap. I'm going to work at 1230 and I plan on talking to her then.

P.S. Two years may not seem like a long time but it really is...
maybe you won't get manager right off the bat but you may get asst. manager or something...or "manager in training" ... but eitherway that will look good on future resumes and you may get the job!

I waiting to know too. She sounds like a really good person for the job so I don't know why she wouldn't get it but I just can't wait to find out.

Well sorry for the long wait for the update. I didn't end up getting the management position. It ended up being the ladies daughter. And in Feburary 2005 I got fired for talking to my old boss.
