Haha, I'm just curious to see which fellow members has joined the beloved cult.



We had to light candles at our induction ceremony and read a speech. It was pretty funny.

A few teachers I had this year told me I should join when I'm a Junior. I'm thinking about it. I've got another year to think about it though, so I dunno what I'll want next year.

We stood on the stage and after they lit them all and gave their speeches, they read a pledge and we had to re-peat it....

I'm in it 2. We did the same thing at my high school. But before we were inducted We had to go around and get all the members already in National Honors Society to sign these rubber Ducks. It was so much fun.

You're SUPPOSED to do community service for your school and community and maintain good grades and other academic standards. Dunno if that's always the case.

Hmm, I'm intrigued by this. We have a similar thing here, but with less emphasis on the status of doing it (ceremonies, etc etc); getting on with the scheme seemed more important.

Same here. I'd say there was 100% less candles in our NHS.
