Hey everybody,
I super super super need the answers for these questions.
Thank you SO much.
Cheers.
1. State the name or chemical formula for each of the following.
Iron(III) Fluoride
Arsenic (V) Bromide
COF3
V2O3
MnS
2. Give the oxidation states of elements that undergo a chance in oxidation state. Then identify what is being oxidized, the oxidation agents, and the reducation agents.
A. 2CuSo4(aq) + 4KI(aq) --> 2CuI(s) + 2K2SO4(aq) + I2(s)
B. I2(aq) + SO2(aq) + 2H2O(l) --> 2HI(aq) + H2SO4(state not given?)
3. A copper penny (mass is 3.14 g) is heated to 100 degrees celsius. It is placed in a cup with 10.0g of water at 25.0 degrees Celsius. The specific heat of copper is .387 J/g degrees Celsius. What is the final temperature of the water and copper penny?
4. Complete and balance
A. Cr2O7^(-2)(aq) + CH3)H (aq) --> HCO2H(aq) + Cr^(+3) FOR ACIDIC SOLUTION
B. IO3^(-)(aq) + I^(-)(aq) --> I3^(-)(aq) FOR BASIC SOLUTION
5. In an acidic solution, 30.0 mL KMnO4 is required to react with 60.0 mL of a .300 N (Normality) H2C2O4 to give Mn^(+2) and CO2. How many ML of the same solution is needed to oxidize 30.0 mL of .300 N (Normality) K2C2O4 to yeild, in a basic solution, MnO2 and C)2 as products?
6. Find the final degree H formation of Acetylene (C2H2) (which is produced by the combination of H2) and CaC2). (Using Hess's Law)
CaO(s) + H2O --> Ca(OH)2(s) (H FORMATION IS -65 KJ)
CaO(s) + 3C(s, graphite) --> CaC2 + CO(g) (H FORMATION IS 462.3 KJ)
CaC2(s) + 2H2)(l) --> Ca(OH)2(s) + C2H2(g) (H FORMATION IS -126 KJ)
2C(s, graphite) + O2(g) --> 2CO(g) (H FORMATION IS -220 KJ)
2H20(l) --> 2H2(g) + O2(g) (H FORMATION IS 572KJ )
IF possible, show some work?
Thanks again.
