Re: Work
Indeed. But didnt you get a reason??
To feel the wind tearing at my clothes, the elements.
The only truth left in a world of lies and hypocrisy.
The beauty of the abyss.
The anticipation, like anticipating the greatest sex, an existential foreplay.
Looking down into oblivion and voidness.
The ground far, far away as it seems from here, but in reality only a couple of seconds away.
Standing there.
Feeling eternity in a restricted world.
Feeling a decision in a prefabricated existence.

No need for reasons now of days. msot people are "work at will" which means, if they don't want you anymore, then they can fire you w/out even giving you a reason.... its the way the goverenment allows places to work....

And shouldn't it be Cindy? The reason they fired you is because they no longer needed your job... Shouldn't they have the right to do that? We do live in a capitalist society don't we?
No that shouldn't be their right, espectily since jobs are so hard to find. bussness people are just greedy bastards... my fathers fucking work just layed off 100 people, yet the CEO just got a million dollar bonus... now how in the hell is that fair? its not! Their main people have billion dollar houses in flordia, while they are fireing people that stayed thru a strike 20 years ago, people that are almost ready for retirement, just to replace them w/ stupid college students that don't know shit! this is all beause the "work at will"! union shops are lucky.. at least they have a good job.. and aren't having a nervous break down because they are scared that tomarrow they may not have a job to feed their family... and its because of greed!
I would keep going, but i have other things on my mind....

Re: Work
But we live in a capitalist society right? Capitalism is based on free enterprise. The right of the industry, the buisness to do what it needs to make money. If that includes laying off workers, I know it stinks, but that is the way the system is supposed to work. If everyone was guaranteed a job we are talking about socialism. We have seen how well socialism does in the real world.

Actually, it's also for legal issues. If they're given a reason, they could turn it into a huge lawsuit. So now-a-days they just leave it at you're fired and that's it.
