where'd the weighloss forum go?? sorry... this might be answered somewhere else but i didn't see anything!
When I hear somebody sigh that Life is hard, I am always tempted to ask, Compared to what?
If we did the things we are capable of, we would astound ourselves.
Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.
You see things; and you say Why? But I dream things that never were; and I say Why not?
It is a hard matter, my fellow citizens, to argue with the belly, since it has no ears.

ah yes... "triggering" thats a word with a very loose definition.
Why wouldn't the whole SI forum be considered "triggering" then also?

i know.
"triggering" means that it "triggers" someone to do something. Example: Weight Loss Forum could "trigger" someone to go back to their eating disorder.
oh well.

It wasn't really helping anybody as such, it was turning into a pro ana forum and so on consultation it has been removed.
Weight loss for under 18's is pretty dangerous and should only be done under supervision of a doctor.

As long as it has enough of a userbase to correct stupid posts about such things as all water-diets and fasting then it would have been fine... But this really shouldn't have been a matter for the board, just the SG admins(why I abstained from the vote in the end).

personally as a victim of ED's for 11 years i can tell u that anything refering to the importance of a slim figure or weight in general is triggering. however, girls do need a place to talk to those who can understand their problems on their weight issues. it's a sticky situation. there's pros and cons to having a forum for it.

doesn't matter what age u are, anyone can screw up their bodies and get ED's. it has nothing to do with maturity or wisdom. its psychological triggers.
