Re: Speak
That book was amazing! I was so surprised by the ending. Like, I knew that something was going on between her and that guy, but.. I never would have guessed. Heh. It was kind of funny, too. Not the fact that everyone hated her, that actually kind of made me sad.. ..but how she made fun of people and stuff. She was very sarcastic, too. Hehe. it was a great book, though! My english teacher in seventh grade recommended it to me. She knew I liked to read those kind of books, so it was great. Hehe.

Re: Speak
o yes! i read that book this summer. i really liked it. her 'dark humor' 'sarcasm' whatever you want to call it, made me really like the character.
And all the roads we have to walk along are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me?
And after all
You're my wonderwall[/b]

Re: Speak
Hmmm I've never heard of it, what's it about?
Whatever our failings may be, we need not lower our eyes in the presence of Jesus...Jesus comes not for the super-spiritual but for the wobbly and the weak-kneed who know they don't have it all together, and who are not too proud to accept the handout of amazing grace. As we glance up, we are astonished to find the eyes of Jesus open with wonder, deep with understanding, and gentle with compassion.

Re: Speak
Ya, I really liked the main character of Speak. I could really relate to her though I have never been raped I could relate to her feelings and personality. Everyone tells me I am too sarcastic which I dont see but w/e But that book was just soooo amazing and I agree with Svet, I felt really bad for her that everyone hated her.

Re: Speak
I've read it but I didn't really like it. I found it kinda boring and I guess I can understand why some people would think it was good, but it just didn't really do anything for me.
I wish I were a spy.
