Edgar Allen Poe
"I have a great faith in fools, confidence my friendes call it"
With these scars on my wrists
To prove I'll try again
Try to die again, try to live through this night
Try to die again..........
To prove I'll try again
Try to die again, try to live through this night
Try to die again..........

Re: Edgar Allen Poe
This guy is my one of my favourite writers.
I find magic in his words.
I find magic in his words.
To feel the wind tearing at my clothes, the elements.
The only truth left in a world of lies and hypocrisy.
The beauty of the abyss.
The anticipation, like anticipating the greatest sex, an existential foreplay.
Looking down into oblivion and voidness.
The ground far, far away as it seems from here, but in reality only a couple of seconds away.
Standing there.
Feeling eternity in a restricted world.
Feeling a decision in a prefabricated existence.
The only truth left in a world of lies and hypocrisy.
The beauty of the abyss.
The anticipation, like anticipating the greatest sex, an existential foreplay.
Looking down into oblivion and voidness.

The Black Cat, you have to read that one.
Some people think its Edgar's best, I dont though. Ive read others that are better than that one.

Re: Edgar Allen Poe
the only story i have heard of his was the tail tale heart or somethin... it was weird, i watched it on film but it was perty cool though!
I'm a poor wayfaring stranger
While traveling thru this world of woe
Yet there's no sickness, toil, or danger
In that bright world to which I go
I'm going there to see my Father
I'm going there no more to roam
I'm only going over Jordan
I'm only going over home
I know dark clouds will hang 'round me,
I know my way is rough and steep
Yet beauteous fields lie just before me
Where God's redeemed their virgils keep
I'm going there to see my mother
She said she'd meet me when I come
I'm only going over Jordan
I'm only going over home

Re: Edgar Allen Poe
yep, tell tale heart is about a murder. i prefer his stories to his poems.
"in the fell clutch of circumstance, i have not winced nor cried aloud,
under the bludgeonings of chance, my head is bloody; but unbowed.
it matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll -
i am the master of my fate. i am the captain of my soul."
- henley.
