Bad Driver

my bus was pulled over this morning for reckless driving! my bus driver shouldn't be qualified to drive her own car, let alone a bus full of kids! she drives over curbs and doesn't slow down going over speed bumps...and now she got pulled over by the cops!

I don't take the bus, except for field trips. But when I attended my elementary at around 7th grade...



My father drove me to class following a large, yellow bus to drop off the students. We turned upon a street that went through R x R tracks. A train was coming. As the bars for the train (the red and white bars) lowered, the bus (with the students inside) drove into the bars and kept going. The front bar was probably scratched, but it lifted up after contact, waited about three seconds, then descended once again. The back bar might have grazed the top of the bus as it went through, it's difficult to recall the memory. We did not follow. (Oh, and the Park Ridge N.J. yellow bus number is 15.)



The end result: The bastard was thrown into court. His excuse: "I just wanted to get the kids to [where they needed to go]." I sat beside my father hearing his excuse, and he whispered, on behalf of all the people around him that heard his quiet comment: "Bullshit."



Now that's one way to describe many public transportation bus drivers.
