How Much Book-reading Do You Do?

Post by Doh!-Nut »

I read about two/three books a day like that guy in that movie "Phenomenon."

Curious to see reading habits.

I've found a reason for me

To change who I used to be

A reason to start over new

and the reason is you

I've found a reason to show

A side of me you didn't know

A reason for all that I do

And the reason is you

I'm busy with my classes a lot, but whenever I have free time, which is usually once a month, I like to sit down and read. I finished reading Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman, and now I'm moving onto The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen R. Donaldson suggested by my friend Chris who has somewhat the same taste in books as I do.

Also I don't read small books. Many of the books I read are rather thick and take ages to read. Also I'm now reading a series of books that are like 10 books in total, I believe. I enjoy that kind of stuff.

Of course some things that aren't technically books I would consider one, like reading The Federalist Papers.

For myself, maybe 2 or 3 books a year. Total trash too. Predictable Crime stories, and sick and twisted murder stories. Or trashy romance novels.

But I read 2 childrens books every night to my girls. Such amazing literature like "The tiger that came for tea" and "Billy Bear wont Sleep!".

Hmmm...I generally have a ton of shit to each night, but I manage to read, perhaps a book a week. I just finsihed the Davinci Code (OMG! It is an awesome book!!!) and I'm starting on Royal Babylon, about the royalty of England, and how fucked up they were.

Cheers,

I've been reading the 5th harry potter book... about a chapter every night before I go to sleep for a little over a week. :) Pretty good book.
Late night comes are you home?

No you're not.

You're out with urge to satisfy yourself it's your vicious plot.

Looking back I realize that it's my fault.

I'm not around so your love comes to a halt.

You have no remorse in you.

It's the only thing you know.

You destroy me every time you little cunt.

I never wanted this.

Gave myself to you to get paid back with lies.

Every time I trust you I lose in the end.

I feel disgust in myself.

I love how you can call me and pretend you're innocent,

While I'm out here trying to better myself.

You're a pig when it comes to my emotions.

You drown me in your wake because you have no devotion.

You have no remorse in you.

It's the only thing you know.

You destroy me every time you little cunt.

I never wanted this.

Gave myself to you to get paid back with lies.

Every time I trust you I lose in the end.

2 books a week.

Lately I've read none, though.
To feel the wind tearing at my clothes, the elements.

The only truth left in a world of lies and hypocrisy.

The beauty of the abyss.

The anticipation, like anticipating the greatest sex, an existential foreplay.

Looking down into oblivion and voidness.

The ground far, far away as it seems from here, but in reality only a couple of seconds away.

Standing there.

Feeling eternity in a restricted world.

Feeling a decision in a prefabricated existence.

I love to read, but not super reader, so every few days, I finish a book.
I was talking to God, and I asked him

"God why don't you create a scientist who can find the cure for AIDS/HIV and Cancer? Why can't you send a leader to give world peace?"

You know what God said?

"I did, but you all killed them in the womb."
