Thats not conservatism treefingers, conservatives believe in equal opportunity

Um, no they don't. That's socialism, dude. And to a degree, reform liberalism.

I'm not making this up, either. I'm looking at my political science text as I tell you this.
Democracy. It rolls off the tongue nicely. Better than others. I can say it, spell it, define it, but can?t admit to ever believing it. So convoluted has it become that it has mesmerized generations into a comma of perfect sublimity. You dance to the music of your youth, identify with your own memory, become a time capsule of numb comfort. And there, mired in the exhaustion of a life in progress, you surrender your right to question for the luxury of not being bothered.

No, I don't believe you, because I'm looking in my bloody political science textbook, and it says liberals are for equal opportunity. Conservatism goes against any institution that tries to bring economic equality of opportunity, because it infringes upon the freedom of economy.

Exactly, ECONOMIC equality. Conservatives are for social equality, but feel that economic equality must be earned. We were talking about different kinds of equality. Economic equality doesnt work. All it is is glorified stealing and rewarding those who do not make good decisions.

However, they were places of great power, reform, learning, and culture. Afterwards there was chaos and violence.
