Are You Taking A Foreign Language
Ok, just curious how many people are taking foreign language in school, and what is the most popular. I am, and I am taking german.
I'm a moderator of the Family/Friends forum, and Relationships! If you ever need help with anything, feel free to email, IM, or PM me.
For those of you wondering what my name means, here it is. The XC stands for Cross Country, because I run cross country and I run distance in track for my school. And Sabreur because I fence sabre in my spare time. And no, its not a lightsabre.
And if anyone else here fences or runs cross country or track, PM me ! we should talk sometime, I love running and fencing

yea, i am taking spanish, though i want to take french, but at my current school they only teach spanish and you have to take it, no options.

Not taking any language classes. I did learn french for 12 years though, but that's because you're forced to learn because the province is bilingual.
Edit: I want to learn Thai one day. I also want to move to Thailand for one year and learn over there. But that definitely won't be happening for the next 5 years, but after I'm done university, why not.

We haave to talk a forgin langauge to graduate, 2 years of one at that. I'm takeing spanish, and I hate it, I've learned nothing, but german or french wouldn't be any better. They use to offer latin, and I wish I could have taken it because that seems more interesting, but no, my parents want me to take spanish because they expect me to live in this dead beat hole of a border town the rest of my life *dark chuckle* yeah right. lol

I'm taking Spanish.. I don't like it though.. I wish I could have taken French.. but my parents didn't want me to .

Je parle francais en l'ecole..pour quatre annees. et c'est tres beau. je n'aime pas espagnol parce que c'est laid..... mais si tu aimes le langue, d'accord..

Whoa. My sister's friend that just stayed here goes to a school around here that teaches Japanese. She loves that type of stuff and is obsessed with anime. She's great with the drawings and everything. Huh... that reminded me. : x

I took French for 9 years. And I could just about understand what Shwynsh said. Yes, I obviously worked my ass off for those 9 years... 
I took Spanish for 5. Nothing to show for it though.
And I'm taking Russian now. I know that 3 = tri. 4 = shiterre. But that's all I can remember right now
And I'm half Japanese so it would be sad if I couldn't speak that decently.
