28 Days Later

Post by _Radi0head_ »

(I should stop posting here so much :P )

Who's seen the movie 28 days later? Most of my friends haven't seen it so I thought I'd see if anyone here likes it.

I first saw it when my brother bought the DVD, for some reason 28 Days Later is the only movie to really scare me. I don't think it's the thought of being chased around by "infected" people, (although I'd imagine that to be rather frightning haha) It's more the feeling of being alone with nobody to help you that scared me the most.

I was waiting for a cross-town train in the london underground

When it struck me that i've been waiting since birth to find

A love that would look and sound like a movie so i changed

My plans and rented a camera and a van and then i called you

"i need you to pretend that we are in love again" and you agreed to

I really liked it. The atmosphere was great, and yes that feeling of loneliness is prevalent in that movie.

The movie itself was very ambitious, too, it tried to create a different mood than most zombie films, and it succeeded, I think.
Democracy. It rolls off the tongue nicely. Better than others. I can say it, spell it, define it, but can?t admit to ever believing it. So convoluted has it become that it has mesmerized generations into a comma of perfect sublimity. You dance to the music of your youth, identify with your own memory, become a time capsule of numb comfort. And there, mired in the exhaustion of a life in progress, you surrender your right to question for the luxury of not being bothered.

Yeah, it was more clever than your average zombie flick. It got a bit shit when the army rapists appeared, but up to that point it was pretty good.

Yeah, not to mention most of the army-rapists are in Eastenders.
