Despite our disagreements, if things go down, I think that Four and I will be on the same side. Death to taxes and socialism!

Emily, Communism is a good idea...in theory. The problem is, the person who leads the Communist country becomes greedy and takes all the money, which leads the population to become poor and without rights. Communism would be good if humans weren't flawed, however we are, and therefore it does not work.

Broken, you're confused. Socialism is not something to be feard and, if you looked into it, you would see that there are good ideas in socialism that have worked in other countries and would work here.

Also, your taxes pay for your police, fire, medical, teachers, jails, etc. I could go on, but I really don't have the time. Taxes are a good thing. You get more back than you pay out.

However, I feel that taxes are immoral, so that doesn't matter. I believe in self sufficiency, while socialists believe in welfare. Me and socialism would never work and if america were to fall to socialism(a process which has allready begun) then i would fight to destroy this country.

We wouldn't be falling to socialism, we'd be rising to it. In socialism, people get educations and hospitals, even if they're not rich.

Taxes are necessary and very important to our way of life. However once you start taxing everything excessivly (some reports say that the average american pays 50% of their income back in taxes - taking all, including sales tax into account) you get an oppresive government. A recent audit of NASA claims that they lost $565 billon due to accounting errors ( http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/space/05/1 ... index.html ), once you start fixing these beurocratic nightmares our taxes may begin to come down. Remember: TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION IS TYRANNY.

If NASA lost that much, I shudder to think how much the US military has wasted over the years...
Democracy. It rolls off the tongue nicely. Better than others. I can say it, spell it, define it, but can?t admit to ever believing it. So convoluted has it become that it has mesmerized generations into a comma of perfect sublimity. You dance to the music of your youth, identify with your own memory, become a time capsule of numb comfort. And there, mired in the exhaustion of a life in progress, you surrender your right to question for the luxury of not being bothered.

I think there is going to be a civil war in our lifetime, but for states rights and to reduce the size of governmnt, not how you propsose.

Not in our lifetime, not for those reasons. The people of the united states are way too indifferent to that kind of shit.

I say that we need a revolution too, but not like you are talking about. We need true democracy and capitalism in America. The socialists have all but taken over this country and we need to fight back. Look at it. Every day our taxes increase and the class hatred intensifies. Socialists claim to represent the people, yet, last time I checked, the rich are people too. We dont need a world of complete equality. That would destroy every motivation to work and achieve great things. Rather, we need a world where the rich and the poor work together. Once you try to make everyone equal, you strip them of their basic human right to make their own choice. Let people be responsible for their actions. Those who make good choices are rewarded. Those who make bad ones are not. Once you begin to change that, you are going to destroy the world. That is why we do not want socialism in america, and why i will fight to stop it.

No, sounds like it was spoken by a liberal, which I believe is what Brad is. You say communist with such disdain broken, you just sound like a modern day McCarthy. I just think of communists as dreamers.
