a pay as you go, if you dont wanna pay to much, like Verizon or Virgin Modle, theyre cheap a Verizon Pass as you go is cute, and its 15 bucks for 40 mins.

Well he said he wanted somthing cheap. And they re cheap. But my dad, has a plan which he only pays 25 bucks, but he never uses it. Go to a store, like a Verizon store, or something and talk to them about what you want.

But he has no credit, so he'd have to either have somone to co-sign or get a pay as you go.

I have Tmobile.

It's excellent service and whatnot, and although I pay like 80 dollars a month for my plan, they offer ones between 19.95 and 34.99.

Cheers,

im in the uk n t-mobile is cheapest here too.

do you have 'mix it' over there yet? its where they give you a contract with your free talk time and text messages and then when you wanna use more than the free ones you have to 'top up' your phone - use a pre pay voucher.

I wouldn't suggest u get a pay as you go because then you wont get free nights and weekends. Thats is the best thing in the world to have.. and since u are away at college your going to want to get a long distance and free roaming. Check out verizon.

Nah, it's not a family plan. I have a BUNCH of minutes and whole lot of other nifty stuff. I dunno, I don't pay for it personally.

Hrmm the thing is now, my parents just recently had a T-Mobile phone. The thing is, we couldn't even get a local number! We had to dial the 1 + area code to call the damn thing. They promised a local number but unfortunately they didn't provide, and then they aren't the uhmm nicest people on the phone to deal with. However, whats usually best to do is look in town locally. Usually the company you go through depends on were you are. Theres good phones for different areas. I've myself used Cellular One, Sprint, and now on US Cellular. All of them have been pretty good. If you get a phone, make sure to find a local dealer, so you don't have to deal with talking to people over the phone and have conflicts over what was said on the phone and what is said in person.(i've had that happen twice now with phone companys)
