I use Winamp (version 2 actually, not a resource hog) for MP3's, and Windows Media Player (version 7, not going to upgrade and give them legal access to my computer) for any video.

I use WMP 9 for mpeg, mpg, and avi

I use Winamp 5 LIGHT for mp3s, wav, midi, (classic skin, i hate the other skins)

I use windvd 5 for any dvd or dvd format files

I will NEVER USE REALPLAYER, and the reason is that it is slow, has spyware inside of it (although not technically spyware because it's reporting directly to real media, but uses 100% of cpu because of it.... when it runs it's spying stuff around midnight)

I use quicktime for mov files

Each have their pros and cons as to why i do not use them for 'everything'. I am one for using many programs simply because each have a whole set of GOOD features for different things.... what one lacks, the other one is MADE for.

Real Player 10 for almost everything cos it can manage Minidisc exports, DVD's, and mostly anything else... um.... and Sonicstage for all other Minidisc needs.... and i have Winamp installed for any reason i may want to use it :P apart from that i put it straight on Minidisc and play from that :D lol

I use Sonique for my mp3s. I use WinAmp5 for the streaming TV and radio stations. Windows Media Player for most videos. DivX for divx movies. And InterVideo WinDVD for dvds.

I use Real One because Windows Media crashed on my PC...

I have winamp too (at least six other programs), but I haven't used it. I probably should. Real One sucks, hah.

I got sick of winamp and windows media player, so I decided to try it out, and I love it!

For video files I use Windows Media Player, but i'm forced to use real player on sites like mlb.com and comedeycentral.com to watch their videos.

I don't watch dvds on my computer. I use my X-Box or PS2 for that.

WinAmp. It's plugin collection is next to none.
