I do like it. Not cuz of the lyrics, but i like the beat of the song..the guitaring is amazing.

same with me...the lyrics aren't great, i hate politics because it just separates people and such. I love Green Day, but when you bring politics into it, i'm just like "grrr" cuz we all have different opinions, so why do you have to make other people feel like "idiots" because they feel differently than you?...but hey, the actual song is amazing! The beat, the guitar, the drums, the bass...it's all soooooo great! Green Day is one of my favorite bands, and this song is definitely going on my list of fav GD songs!

I'm glad bands are doing the political thing. Because most of them are anti-Bush. It's good to speak out like that.

Yes, Bush IS an American Idiot.
I don't like Greenday. Though, they have an AMAZIIING drummer. A pretty good bassist. A shitty guitarist. And shitty vocals.
That's like, the defination of punk right there.
Hardcore is oh so much better.
But anyways, it's a cute song. I don't like it, but I like the lyrics.

I like it! I bought there new Album, and think its there 2nd best album right behind Dookie. Even though I don't agree that bands should have songs about politics, the song is still kick ass anyway!
lol, and their song Holiday on their new album has one line that says "Zieg Heil to the President Gasman". I'm assuming Zieg Heil means All Hail even though I don't know German. lol
If you guys like Green Day and or Punk music, defenitly buy there album. Even though they are "maturing".

lol The only other place he can play is my room, but he does play a lot so I guess that's true. Or he could just go over his friend's house where they can bask in the world of eating and never showering.
