Re: Alpha Shield
No system is "unhackable" - The only truly safe Computer is a unplugged Computer, and if its a Windows machine, is NEVER going to be virus proof, I don't care what anyone says, no security system is 100%, though, from what I just read this "Alpha Shield" looks to be a simple hardware firewall, which, they too, with proper expierence, can be hacked through, a firewall won't stop viruses (True it may prevent Worms, or Trojan horses that spread through open ports, the only real way to be secure is to run a hardware firewall, and a software firewall, and a antivirus (Or two, I never trust just one AV vendors results.) - The way to stear clear from viruses and malware (Malicious Software.) is to:
1) Install Antivirus Software (There are a few good free ones, such as AVG and AntiVir PE
2) Install a software firewall (There are a few good free software firewalls as well ZoneAlarm Free and Sygate 5.5 Free
3) Install Anti-Spyware Software (Such as Adaware SE Standard and Spybot S&D
4) The best method is prevention (As is the best method for everything.) - turn off ActiveX in Internet Explorer , or, use a different, more secure webbrowser (Such as FireFox) - Or alternatively, if you cannot use FireFox, or turn off ActiveX get Spyware Blaster it adds kill switches in your registry to stop known spyware from installing.
5) Another thing you may want to look into is a Anti-Trojan application (Which, also detect certain pieces of Spyware, and Worms) such as the free version of Ewido (Only if you're running Windows XP or Windows 2000) or the free version of a2. - These are all trust worthy applications.
6) Make SURE to download and install ALL Windows updates! you can do that at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ - make sure that you are using Internet Explorer to get there, then click "Scan For Updates" after its done, click "Review And Install Updates" after its done downloading and installing the updates, it will ask to save and close all of your work, and then restart your Computer.
7) Make sure that all Antivirus, Antiitrojan, and Antispyware applications are all up-to-date with the latest definitions, update them all weekly atleast.
Also note to be VERY suspicious of ANY software you download on the internet, scan ANYTHING that you download for viruses.

Re: Alpha Shield
I must agree with Just4 on this one.
If someone says they have the 1 thing that will protect you from everything (viruses, hackers, etc).... they are 100% naive and do not know what they are talking about. I wouldnt listen to anyone who says that.
If someone says 100% secure, same as above - naive and I wouldn't listen to them either.
