ok so my ipods kinda old, but only about a year. but it will not hold a charge now!! literally about 3 minutes worth, then it cuts off and dies. its REALLY annoying - is it the battery or what? I charged it today for about 6 hours and it lasted for id say about 4 minutes on the computer when i was trying to stick more songs on it...HELP!!! is it the battery or what? and if i need a new one, how much is it to get it fixed?

Re: Ipod
iPod batteries don't last more than 500 or 600 complete charges...which is usually about 2 years anyway. Some call it the iPod's dirty secret. But, I would give the apple support reps a call and arrange for a battery replacement. If this process requires you to do a return to their facilities by FedEx or whatever shipping method used, DO NOT send off your iPod to them without having all of your music files backed up on your computers hard drive.
