The Electric Slide -- Remember It?
Explanation: I was on the phone with a very good girlfriend of mine and we've been best friends forever and forever and forever and forever...and she reminded me of how in 5th grade we all had to learn the electric slide. Does anyone remember doing this? Or the dance? Or just vaguely remember it? I totally remember it now. Heh.

Oh god, everybody's going to look at me funny now.
I did it at my cousin's wedding, hahahaha. And it was fucking fun. Especially since the bride's hot little sister was in front of me.
Cheers,
Jenna

I very vaguely remember the electric slide. I definitely remember the song, but not really the dance. Oh gosh... good times.

The whole arrangement's designed for men who, at some time or other in their lives, were looking for something their own environment couldn't supply them with. Or they thought their own environment couldn't supply them with. So they gave up looking. They gave it up before they ever really even got started"

She's so big hearted
but not so remarkable
just an ordinary humble girl
expecting nothing as we may
to think it's a pretty person's worth
you are beautiful
and you'd better go show it
so go and look again
you gotta be true only if you really wanna go to the top and you really wanna win
don't believe in living normal
just to satisfy demand
Well, if you wanna get free
and if wanna get smart by the sake of your heart
you should own your lame and stand up tall

Re: The Electric Slide -- Remember It?
Oh darlin, you're deprived. It's the stupidest funnest most classic wedding dance of all time. You just side to side, forward, then backwards, and then start repeating (of course there are more details but that's the basic idea). I remember the electric slide, at school dances as well as many weddings. I shall probably always remember that. I actually remember when my mom taught it to me in the living room. Good times.Originally posted by The Black Hat@Jan 3 2005, 11:47 AM

I remember the song but I always refused to do the dance, so I don't really know how to do it. I was more of a macarana sort of gal.
