Im looking for an audio program that will let me take out the lyrics of a song so im only left with like the background music

That may be a little hard to do dpending on how the track was laid down, however, if u hav winamp, there r some plugins that will do that, there r not perfect, but they r pretty good. just search winamp.com, they';; be under plugins
Aimed low, settled for less.

You need some professional audio software like Sony ACID or Propellerhead REASON.

I know that in my city we have a business that will edit out the lyrics for you. I don't know how much it costs though. I know someplaces sell singles that are insturmental and then some people download insturmental versions.
I do believe soundclick.com has insturmentals and somepeople there make beats and such.
