i have a Sony Handycam and i want to download the video onto my computer but i dont know if i can anyone know if i can and where would the plug thing be?

It depends what model your camera is..but most cameras now you transfer either USB or Firewire..if you know what model it is it would be helpfull

Does it anywhere on the camera have like sony handcam and a bunch of numbers after it?

The origional manual that came with it - if the capability is on the cam corder, then this manual will tell you.



If not, then it's more advanced and you'll need an extra adapter to record data, and it get's really complex.
