Prom Make Up
i'm hoping someone knows a lot about make up. i have a light blue prom dress and i need to know what color eyeshadow would go best with it. i have very pale skin and blue eyes if that helps at all. i'm open to any suggestions.

Re: Prom Make Up
Could you post a photo of yourself, and possibly also of the dress?
It would help a great deal.

Re: Prom Make Up
I think pink may be nice. It goes with most eye colours. Don't put too much on or put a shade on which is too dark as it may make you look ill. Also, a colour which is near to your skin colour (like a light brown colour) would also look nice because it looks natural. You're better off listening to other opinions though, so don't straight away assume that what I suggested is a good look.

Re: Prom Make Up
Its okay, don't worry about it if you can't.
Answering these questions would be good:
Eye colour: (blue)
Hair colour:
Skin colour: (pale)
Accessory colours:
Jewellery colour:
Usual eye make-up colour:
Usual clothing colours: (believe it or not, this WILL help me)
PS. Umm, pink is VERY difficult to pull off on a pale skin colour unless you have done it before. You need to know exactly which shades suit you and have enough experience with make-up to know what you are doing. Trying to pull it off at a prom for the first time is just asking for trouble, in my opinion.
The wrong pink will make your eyes look awful. The right pink will subtly compliment. If you have never tried pink before, DON'T do it at a prom.
There are also the same problems with brown, unless it is a very subtle one - brown colours and pale skin often don't work together very well at all.
Ruth - you know I love you, babe. *Hides* I'm sorry to have dissected your post so much....

I dunno. I find that pink looks very good on pale skin. Plus, I've seen it in all the magazines. They always say pink is good for pale.

Purple eye shadow looks good with blue eyes.

Re: Prom Make Up
I can't really help with the colors but I will tell you its bad to use too much. Just use a small amount. I have seen girls on prom who had on entirely too much makeup and it made you want to stare at their face and wonder why they are wearing so freaking much instead of their pretty dress.
