What Are You Doing

Post by stoplooking »

If you are going to prom, I was just wondering what you were doing afterwords. I have my own plans but they are kinda thin and could easily fall through. So I thought I'd get some ideas from what other people are doing! Thanks for responding.

well, we aren't going to the actual PROM because they don't let same sex couples in... and i would obviously want to take my girlfriend. but after the prom is over (11 or midnight, i think!?!) there is a really fancy beautiful boat ride you can take across lake michigan and you get back the next day. it's not run by the same people from school but everyone always goes on it after. it's not as expensive as prom tickets are either, so i think we are going to have a nice dinner and go on the boat after to see our friends!!!!!!! i'm really excited.

as for ideas, i know lots of couples/groups who:

-rent a hotel out for the night someplace, drink, have a good time

-some people go camping or stay in a beach house type thing on saturday and sunday nights and they don't go to school on monday because they are usually too tired.

-some people just hang out at someone's house, watch movies, maybe have a sleepover

- and some people just go home and meet again for breakfast/lunch in the morning.

there's lots of ideas. have fun and be careful!

ps.

PROM

(please return on monday), haha

That sounds really amazing. Yeah, those are good suggestions.

After prom, I went bowling with my friends and then we ate at this quaint little hamburger joint at four am. I really wanted to get blasted, but I didn't get a chance. Tis a shame.

Cheers,

Since I am only a sophmore and going with a senior I am being dragged to a senior party and will most likely get drunk.

Not that I don't love the seniors but sophmores are so much more fun :)
You called yesterday to basically say

That you care for me but that you're just not in love

Immediately I pretended to be feeling similarly

And led you to believe I was O.K.

To just walk away from the one thing

That's unyielding and sacred to me

Well I guess I'm trying to be nonchalant about it

And I'm going to extremes to prove I'm fine without you

But in reality I'm slowly losing my my mind

Underneath the guise of a smile gradually I'm dying inside

Friends ask me how I feel and I lie convincingly

'Cause I don't want to reveal the fact that I'm suffering

So I wear my disguise 'til I go home at night

And turn down all the lights and then break down and cry

So what do you do when somebody you're devoted to

Suddenly just stops loving you and it seems they haven't got a clue

Of the pain that rejection is putting you through

Do you cling to your pride and sing "I will survive"

Do you lash out and say "How dare you leave this way"

Do you hold on in vain as they just slip away

This year will be the first 'prom' I've ever been to.. I'm so excited.

And I actually have a date who isn't a complete loser. My long term friend with benefits is going with me :P

I don't think we'll be doing anything after though. He has a free house. He should invite me. Hm.

Camping after prom sounds SOOO much fun. Lol.

I am tempted to do that with college friends when we have our summer 'banquet and ball' - I'll just borrow the closest field, hehe :)

Probably gonna go to a after prom party. (Dancing, drinking). Bought the tickets and shit.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
