Re: Michael Jackson's Verdict...
He has been accused before because he is an easy target. If I was a bitch looking for easy money I'd pick on him too.
I wish I were a spy.

Re: Michael Jackson's Verdict...
I want EVERYONE saying "He got off because he's rich and famous," and EVERYONE saying, "I know he did it," to STOP!
This is really pissing me off. Just because a celebrity gets accused of something, that doesn't mean (s)he did it. Have you SEEN the track record of the accuser's family? It was quite obvious, to me, that she was lying from the start. She told the jury that Micheal threatened to kidnap her children in a HOT AIR BALLOON! Seriously, why the hell would he even threaten that? Just because a celebrity is accused of something, doesn't mean that person is guilty. Just because a celebrity is found not guilty, doesn't mean that they were found not guilty BECAUSE of their fame. Did it EVER occur to ANY of you that he didn't do it? No, of course not, because he's "weird" or "creepy" or famous. I hate to rain on your hate parade folks, but, as Craig said, being weird and creepy and famous IS NOT A CRIME! You don't have any proof that he did it, just as I don't have any proof that he didn't do it. However, one thing remains: In this country, EVERYONE, no matter their net worth, is innocent until proven guilty.
In regards to MJ's actions: Yes, sleeping with younger boys was a bad idea to begin with. He was really setting himself up for these types of lawsuits. However, I certainly believe the psychologist in the trial that said that Michael Jackson has the mental state of a 6 year old. I want everyone to think back to when they were 6 years old. Did you sleep in the same bed as your friends? Did you sleep in the same room as your friends? Of course you did - and you didn't think anything of it. I believe that Micheal Jackson thinks the same way. He's not thinking of anything sexual and he's not thinking of the possible repurcussions of such actions - he's simply being a child. Michael Jackson is, mentally (IMO), a child. Just because the general public hears "sleeping with children" and thinks "sex," that does not mean anything sexual was going on. Children sleep with their friends all the time. Parents sleep with their children all the time. It's NATURAL. Get over it and leave this poor man alone.

He should be treated like u or i would in a court room. NO MERCY, thats what court is for, to have no mercy on the person that is there until they are PROVEN INNOCENT.
You have no idea how relieved I am that people like you don't run the legal system. That's just screwed up.

Re: Michael Jackson's Verdict...
hmm, i'm reminded of the golden rule here..
Do unto others as you would like to be treated.
One day BrittyKitty, you will have the chance to be in front of a court or judge. Most people in their lives have at LEAST 1 run in with the law... Maybe you are innocent, maybe guilty, however think of your words here. I say you are guilty of sex with a minor NOW.... are you innocent or guilty? by your guidelines, you are guilty cause you cannot PROVE you didnt sleep with a minor.
Perhaps you should go to south america, (or some other country) where they do live by the "Guilty until proven innocent" law... Maybe your eyes will open.... Think.... I just accused you of sleeping with a minor... i know nothing about you, but now you have to prove you didn't... otherwise you are guilty.
You have a brain, make use it

W3rd. The onus on proof should always be on the accuser. A tenet of a legal system should be innocent until proven guilty.

Re: Michael Jackson's Verdict...
What happens if at the time you were home asleep, or just home alone watching tv? That sure as hell does not pass for an alibi. And anyone can accuse you of anything.Originally posted by BrittyKitty@Jun 17 2005, 08:54 PM
well if i didnt, i would have proof of where i was....called an aliby. And the only way of accusing me of such a thing would be ppl seeing us together, or ne thing of that nature.
I honestly have absolutely no idea if he did it or not. I did not care to follow the case and therefor I have very little information on it. I do find him to be a creepy creepy man and I hate his music... but that is no reason to convict him of anything.

Re: Michael Jackson's Verdict...
I'm glad Doug said that.. I was really waiting for it.
I can't believe that some of you guys actually think that being 'creepy' is enough. Please, look at the facts, ALL THE FACTS, not just the ones you'd like to see.

Re: Michael Jackson's Verdict...
No matter how much to us he may seem guilty, it's a FACT now he is not guilty of all charges.
The jury had far more evidence to base thier opinions on than we have.
He's a strange strange man with very different views on 'normality' to the rest of the world, but he is innocent on all charges.

Well then it's a good thing your opinion didn't matter in this case.
