I live in Canada, and it doesn't snow too much in my area 
Come December. Mad white fluff outside. I hear places only 2-3 hours drive form my area have been hit hard though.

I don't know what would make it winter if not snow. Here in western Canada (central-northern Saskatchewan) I can remember there being snow on the ground from Hallowe'en until Easter (March). I haven't been frequenting the site as of late and I thought that it was pretty cool that this thread was still alive.

I've never had hot apple cider but it sounds yummy! How do you make it - just by heating it on its own or by adding mulling spices etc?
