today i heard bagpipes of someone paying their respects. Tonight i'll see the 2 lights blaze up. I hate that i can see it from my house. I started crying for all the kids in my school who will never get over their parent's death because everyone is so obsessed with it. They'll never have peace. It's odd to think that 4 years ago today i saw smoke rising up from my window

I never really heard much about it on tv etc.... I guess the hurricane took over the media hype? The only thing I heard about september 11th on tv before today was about new shows premiering today.

There was little coverage on Sept. 11 as a day of rememberance because well, it's just not that damn important as of right now for the U.S. There has been a little bit of 'news' but hey, the help for the hurricane SHOULD be our primary concern so if there's more coverage on that, I'd say I'm not that disappointed. Haha, I'm more concerned that today is a couple of my friends' birthdays.

yeah it hit me about midday what day it was. they had a few specials on it, but i agree- it's mostly hurricane stuff lately. what is this world coming to?

Well of course they're going to be covering the hurricane. It's more important at the moment. Yes we need to respect and honor the people who died on 9/11, but right now it's more important to focus on the people who died in the hurricane and prevent more deaths due to improper conditions.

yeah i didnt realize it was 9/11 until i went to church and they kept doing all these tributes and stuff. i felt bad, that i didnt remember it.

What do you mean 'what is this world coming to'?

Of course there will be more on about the hurricane, and there should be. That is what the US is dealing with right now. They aren't dealing with some attack that happened a few years ago, and they shouldn't be. There are more important matters to be concerned with than the attack on 9/11.
