Well, When I started up my computer today, everything was working fine. Then within a few minutes, my mouse suddenly stopped working. I thought my computer was froze. So, I restarted my computer.
Same problem. I had my mouse plugged into my mintor, so I unplugged it and plugged it into my mouse port with an ps/2 adapter. Didnt work. I got a differnet mosue and plugged it directly into my ps/2 adapter. Didnt work. Got another mouse with a weird + \__/ + plug. Didnt work. So, I unplugged the usb cable that goes into my monitor and plugged my usb mouse in there. That worked. So
Is it possible to fry a usb cable? Becuase im assuming thats part of the problem.
And, This isnt a normal usb plug by the way. Im assuming that most monitors with usb plugs use this type of plug, but, the half of the usb cord that goes into the monitor is about two times the thickness of a regular usb cord. The other half is just normal. Anybody know what this kind of usb cord is called so I can buy a new one?
And
Is it possible that my regular mouse plug is fried along with my usb cord?
