Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Post by BittersweetSurrender »

What was everyone's thoughts on the second movie?

I saw it yesterday, and I think it was spectacular! The CGI was incredible. It wasn't one of those films where you could tell things were animated- everything looked real. The choreography was amazing- I wasn't entirely surprised to learn that (and I'm sure there are more) Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Jack Davenport (Norrington) all did their own stunts, which means swordfighting on top of that giant, rolling wheel. The plotline was great too with all of those twists and turns.

*sighs dreamily* I loved it! :P

My jaw actually dropped at the very end. I looked next to me and my friends' had as well. What do you all make of that particular twist?

But I do want to know your thoughts.

(P.S. I'm trying to be subtle about big things in the first post because I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it and mistakenly clicks this link.)

I was eating ice cream in Leicester Square when the premiere was happening. Had no idea. There was this huge crowd and police cars and I was like, "What is this?", to some random in the crowd and she was like, "We're waiting for Johnny Depp!". Hah. I really want to see it.

I didn't think it was great... it really never had a beginning or an end... it's the way they make you watch the 3rd movie..... and I hate that.

I thought a lot of that was bad acting - especially the beginning. The ending of the movie was dumb, and some parts of the middle didn't make much sense in terms of who had the heart, and why didn't they use it's powers when they had it....

End result: I could have waited until it came out on DVD to rent.

Yeah the ending could've been better, but I knew who had the heart the whole time, if you pay attention to EVERYONE around that part, you'll realize who has it. :P

It was so funny. I went to see it with my best mate on Tuesday. It was a lot better than the first, and really great!

we'll meet again

the ending wasnt that much of a shock. I dunno, the movie was predictible, but not. Im sure that is a great explination, but once something happened, it was very easily to figure out what was going to happen next. so yea. I really enjoyed it, and cant wait for the next one.

Plus the scenery is amazing. i love the blue blue blue water, and stuff like that.

*******DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET*******

It was alright I think it was more of a connecter between the 1st and 3rd one. I liked the sword fighting on the wheel and the ending was alright, I figured that he had to have the heart thats why he was so willing to get away from the rest of the crew. I think Jack is still alive and I really want Will to just kill the heart. I liked how they included his father.

She's so big hearted

but not so remarkable

just an ordinary humble girl

expecting nothing as we may

to think it's a pretty person's worth

you are beautiful

and you'd better go show it

so go and look again

you gotta be true only if you really wanna go to the top and you really wanna win

don't believe in living normal

just to satisfy demand

Well, if you wanna get free

and if wanna get smart by the sake of your heart

you should own your lame and stand up tall

I loved it in general. Johnny Depp is so hilarious, and the whole scene with the chasing of the chest and the sword fighting was amazing. It had just a touch of confusion where you weren't sure who was stabbing who, lol.

I hated the ending. I don't like huge cliff hangers and NOTHING was resolved. Nothing at all. That annoyed me.

But in general, I thought it was good. :)

I liked the first one better though I think.

This one was also pretty gory.
