I Bought A Car!

I finally bought my first car.

I bought a 2003 fully load hyundai accent hatchback.

It is such a great car.

I got a really good deal and it still has two years of warranty.

When I pick it up on Monday I will take pics and show you guys.

My first car was a Volkswagen Golf type 2 - 1.8 Liter GTI. It was a piece of metal that had a kick to it. Only thing still in good shape about it was the engine. So yea, when the yearly check-up came I had to dump it cause it couldn't meet required standards on more than several very critical points ^^' - but hey, what do you expect from a car that was built in 1985? I mean damn, the left front wheel was hooked up with only one of the three supposed screws. The rest had fallen out somewhere during driving cause the screw-holes had corroded too much to still support them. xD



Now I drive a Nissan Micra 1.2 Liter from 1991. Very decent and more importantly cheap car. Maintenance low, taxes low, consumption low. Low speed too =( - lol. But hey, it's just for driving. I don't feel like buying a fancy car until I fancied up the rest of my life (place to live on my own, steady job, etc).



I've been driving for a bit over 2 years now. It's fun, regardless of the vehicle <3

Hyundai [which rhymes with 'Sunday'] makes good cars. In fact - just last year - it beat out both Honda AND Toyota on many 'reliability' surveys.



Add in the fact that the Hyundai you're buying still has two years of warranty and it sounds to me that you have every reason to be excited.

Just in case you don't already know - a lot of people make the mistake of using dish washing soap when washing their car. That's the worst thing you [or anyone else] could do. Dish washing soap strips the paint clean of ANY and ALL wax. It also takes away some of the natural 'oils' in a cars paint. Go to Canadian Tire [or some other place that sells car waxes, etc.] and buy yourself a big bottle of car washing soap. And double check [to be sure] that it says on the bottle [or whatever it comes in] "Will not strip wax".



Just thought you should know!!



And while you're at it - think about giving it a good wax before winter!! [when it's still relatively warm outside]

My rents provide my car. I started on an 88 Jetta, which my mom drives now and i now drive a 97 Geo Metro, which i am planningon buying off them so i have a car for college then after college i get a new car that they are buying for me as part of our deal on my schooling

I loveeeeeeee my Accent. It used to be my dad's but I liked it so much he gave it to me and he bought himself a new Accent.
